Community Engagement and Participation Plan

The Community Engagement Strategy is based on social justice principles and details how we engage with our community to prepare Integrated Planning & Reporting (IP&R) strategies. Council's Community Engagement Strategy includes the Community Participation Plan.

The IP&R Framework guides the way councils in NSW develop, document, report and deliver long-term plans for their community.

Have your say by making a submission or by attending one of the in-person locations.

Submissions close 4pm Wednesday 23 April 2025.

Background information....

Council is inviting you to provide input into how you want to be informed and engaged about decisions that impact you.

Your input will be used to draft the Community Engagement and Participation Plan. This will update and combine the existing Community Engagement Strategy and Community Participation Plan into a single document.

This Plan will guide how we notify and deliver engagement that provides meaningful ways for the community to participate and shape the future of the region.

This will enhance the capacity of Council to make well-informed, sustainable decisions that clearly reflect the balanced views of the community.

3. come and see us at one of the Drop-in Sessions near you.
