The 2010/13 Delivery Program, 2011/12 Operational Plan and 2011/12 Revenue Policy were adopted and will now direct our day-to-day operations.

Each year, just like you, we have to be on the front foot when it comes to planning for the next financial year, and each year we want to be sure you know council's plans and have your say.  Currently, to get the message out and hear your point of view, we:

  • hold public meetings
  • advertise in print media
  • promote via the radio
  • post information on the web
  • have hard copies of documents in council's offices and the local libraries

Is this working?

Apart from spending money on things like construction and maintenance, council undertakes lots of activities and projects.  Go to Part D of the Operational Plan and you will see the list along with performance measures and targets.  What do you think of our plans and which other activities would you like to see council undertake?

We're investing in the Clarence and preparing for future growth by spending $58.75m on new infrastructure. This includes only $660k of your rates the rest is funded from other sources like grants and loans.  Check out pages 20 to 25 in the Operational Plan to see where we've directed these funds.  What would you add to the wish list?
