Background

Council's Open Spaces Team plan to improve the current park facilities & play space to align with the Council's Open Space Strategic Plan, Open Spaces Asset Management Plan, Disability Inclusion Action Plan, Playground Policy, and your thoughts and ideas. Thanks to everyone who contributed feedback during the consultation stage of this project.

• Community consultation day at the park Saturday 28 October 2023, from 2pm - 4pm, as part of the Tunes In The Trees event.
• Chatsworth Island Public School Consultation 1 November 2023.

Some of the key features in the upgrade include:

• New playground equipment
• New accessible footpath/bike and scooter path
• Large tower with tunnel slide and junior slide
• Climbing wall
• Gyro swing
• Musical instruments
• 2 new picnic shelters and seating
• Sensory gardens and sandstone block features
