Ulmarra Sewerage Investigation

In December 2023 Council resolved to undertake further investigation and consultation of Ulmarra property owners to determine whether property owners wished to proceed with a change to sewerage services.

The process for community engagement was :

• The Ulmarra Sewerage Options Report was on public exhibition from 3 June until 1 July 2024.
• A letter was sent to property owners advising of public exhibition of the investigation.
• A Q&A drop in session was held at the Ulmarra Hotel on 18 June 2024 The FAQs on this page lists the questions raised on the night, and detailed answers.
• All relevant documents and information were published on Clarence Conversations and were promoted to the community for a set period.
• Printed copies of the Options Report were available for viewing at the Coldstream Galley, Ulmarra Post Office and the Ulmarra Hotel.

Following public exhibition, surveys were mailed to Ulmarra property owners asking whether they wish reticulated sewerage to proceed, and for those who wish reticulated sewerage to proceed, how much they were prepared to contribute towards the cost of sewering Ulmarra. Surveys needed to be returned to Council by 12 July 2024.

The submissions and survey responses were reported to the 23 July 2024 Council meeting (see item 07.24.136 in the July 2024 Council meeitng agenda). Council resolved:
