The new Regional Aquatic Centre is envisioned as an inclusive, contemporary aquatic facility with a variety of water spaces and support facilities to service the needs of our local community. For more information on this project including timelines and progress go to Council's website: https://www.clarence.nsw.gov.au/Projects/Regional-Aquatic-Centre

There is an opportunity to celebrate our local stories with this new facility and recognise Grafton's heritage with art in this public space. Council is seeking a large scale design for the Grandstand Screen based on a theme. Information about this opportunity is on the Expression of Interest tab. The artwork should represent one or more of the themes below that have been identified by community during extensive consultation around the pool redevelopment. First Nations artists are encouraged to apply.

THEMES:

  • First Nations Heritage
  • Natural Heritage: Grafton the City of Trees; Jacarandas, Figs and other significant trees
  • Aquatic History and Sporting Heritage

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST CLOSED SUNDAY 9 JUNE 2024.

ARTIST HAS BEEN SELECTED.
