Consultation has concluded
The Clarence Valley Regional Airport is one of the prime gateways to the Clarence Valley.
It brings tourists, helps business and industry and is home for Rural Fire Service emergency activities.
In November Council adopted a draft airport master plan and is now calling for public comment on the draft. That is where you come in. On this page you will find the draft master plan, the report to council, will be able to ask questions, make a submission or take a survey. Your opinions are important, so we welcome your input.
It presents two options for the airport for the next 15 years, with option one focusing on building the general aviation operations and option two providing for more alternative uses of the land parcels at the aerodrome that could take advantage of the airport’s close proximity to the redeveloped Pacific Highway and utilise land that’s surplus to aviation requirements.
Once the consultation period has ended a report will be prepared for council.
Council invites the community to make a submission by 4 pm Friday, 18 January 2019. Comments should be made in writing to the General Manager, Clarence Valley Council, Locked Bag 23, Grafton, NSW 2460 and clearly marked “Clarence Regional Airport - Draft Master Plan” or make a submission online by clicking on the 'On Exhibition' link below.
