Blaxlands Creek - 0 Mobile Reception

Jamo Comment 2 26 Jul 2011, 2:41 PM

We a the first property into Clarence going north on Orara Way at Glenreagh. Zero reception in house but 1-2 bars out in the front yard.

dooleydy Comment 3 27 Jul 2011, 8:42 AM

O reception in the house. A couple of spots with low signal outside. Maybe the new tower at Glenreagh will help when turned on? Am 5.5 km south of Glenreagh.

What mobile reception? Located near Sportsman Creek on the Summerland Way.

Brian R. Comment 5 28 Jul 2011, 7:38 PM

There is no Vodafone reception in Minnie Water. I think Telstra and Optus work

Clarence Valley Playgrounds Comment 6 30 Jul 2011, 8:43 PM

Ashby (on the Broadwater side). No Optus. Telstra works, not a strong signal though.

tresnan Comment 7 31 Jul 2011, 6:27 PM

Gulmarrad. Two mobiles, 1) Telstra NextG with good reception and 2) Three with poor reception and such high roaming fees that it will be canned as soon as the contract ends.

Ewingar. Optus phone. 0 reception. in the late 1980's i had an analogue phone that worked well up here. They changed to digital network, 0 ever since, Also find reception on the Summerland way 15 kms from Grafton drops out until about 10 ks from Casino.I used to get analogue coverage here as well. So much for "progress".

End of Orion Drive Yamba.Reception on Optus very poor

griffabear Comment 10 4 Aug 2011, 9:15 AM

Downtown Yamba. I have to stand in the rain to talk on my mobile. Welcome to 2011!

veggie1 Comment 11 4 Aug 2011, 6:16 PM

We are at South Grafton just to the east of the Glenreagh and Armidale road intersections - Optus mobile coverage poor - need to go outside. Telstra 3G OK with handsets recommended for rural areas only. Analogue used to work fine.

rosiechick Comment 12 11 Aug 2011, 11:22 AM

Angourie - very limited reception near my house - people wander around the street with their phones trying to get a reliable connection.

harmonzo Comment 13 1 Sep 2011, 8:03 PM

11kms west on Gwydir hway and then a few kms of dirt. Telstra Next G and still need aerial connection to make calls. Can receive and make sms without aerial in some locations, but patchy. Visitors with other networks have difficulties

Siruke Comment 14 12 Sep 2011, 3:39 PM

Ulmarra/Brushgrove. Telstra is excellent but the rest are poor.

anolphart Comment 15 26 Sep 2011, 7:25 AM

Be careful what you wish for. You may end up with a tower in your backyard!

TLC FM 100.3 Comment 16 9 Oct 2011, 11:51 AM

Optus & Telstra mobile coverage is poor in Yamba. Prepaid phone reception keeps cutting out. TLC FM 100.3 presenters woulsd love to take SMS requests like other radio stations in the cities but difficult when there is poor reception.
